What are the building elements we have added to our design to make it resistant to earthquakes?
We added a sheer core to our design. The sheer core keeps the floors from lowering and squashing the people and things in the floor below it. We also made our base larger than the floors on top because strong bases help hold the rest of the building in place. Finally, we used the base isolator technique by putting rubber stoppers at the bottom of our building to prevent some of the shaking.
