Why You Should Eat Insects
Most people wont eat an insect if they know it's on their plate, but what they probably don't know is that insects are in most of the food we eat. Although eating bugs looks gross, we shouldn't let that stop us from eating perfectly good food. People should add bugs to their diet because they will be needed in the future. About 80% of the world's population eats insects. Many people eat insects in common foods such as peanut butter and tomato soup. Insects are hidden in most of the food that we eat. If most of the world is eating insects already, why is it so gross to eat an insect when you can see? The population is expected to grow 1/3 more than it is today. This means 1/3 more mouths to feed. But luckily around 80% of the living things in the world have six legs. There are around 6 million species of insects. If we don't eat insects we are wasting perfectly good food that could have been used to end world hunger. The solution to the world's hunger problems has been found, now we have to accept it.
